The call is aimed at organizations that want to participate in the EIT Food 2025 Consumer Engagement Labs (CEL), an initiative to foster consumer-driven innovation in the agri-food sector. Under this program, selected consortia will implement local co-creation processes, engaging consumers in the design of new food products that address social challenges and market needs.
EIT Food Consumer Engagement Labs (CEL) is one of the largest consumer co-creation initiatives in Europe, based on innovative methods developed by the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. The program enables scientific organizations and food companies to jointly address societal challenges such as targeted nutrition, protein diversification and the needs of vulnerable consumer groups.
Applications are open to local consortia consisting of both:
- Scientific organizations: Universities or research institutes with expertise in consumer engagement and facilitation of co-creation processes.
- Food companies: Local businesses with the capacity to develop and commercialize consumer-driven food products.
Participants receive comprehensive training, mentoring, and tools for successful implementation. Consumer teams will co-create ideas aligned with EIT Food's impact pathways and local challenges.
